Northfield Welcomes Kindergarten Families with Phase-In Days

Northfield Elementary is excited to welcome its newest Knights! To help kindergarten students transition successfully into the school year, the school will once again use a Kindergarten Phase-In Schedule during the first week of school.
The phase-in process allows students to become familiar with their classroom, teacher, and daily routines in a smaller setting before the entire class attends together.
Kindergarten Phase-In Schedule
Monday, August 10
Kindergarten Room Meetings
5:00–6:00 p.m.
Families are encouraged to attend their classroom meeting to meet the teacher, visit the classroom, and learn more about the upcoming school year.
Tuesday, August 11
Half-Day for Kindergarten Students
Last Names A–L
Time: 7:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, August 12
Half-Day for Kindergarten Students
Last Names M–Z
Time: 7:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, August 13
Half-Day for All Kindergarten Students
Time: 7:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Friday, August 14
First Full Day for All Kindergarten Students
Time: 7:15 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Important Information for Families
- Parents and guardians may walk their kindergarten student into the building during each half-day using the E Hall entrance at the Saddlebrook Loop.
- A photo ID is required for all adults entering the building.
- Beginning on the first full day of school (August 14), students will enter the building independently.
Northfield Elementary is looking forward to helping every kindergarten student have a positive, confident start to the school year. We can't wait to welcome our newest Knights and begin an exciting year of learning together!
