M’Lisa Bryant Miffleton, Assistant Principal

M’Lisa Bryant Miffleton Mrs. M'lisa Bryant Miffleton has been in education for 22 years. She began her career at Central Middle School as a seventh grade math teacher and coached girls basketball and softball. Following her time at Central, she was privileged to open up Christiana Middle School where she continued teaching seventh grade math, coaching, and became involved with the Beta Club and theater. After ten years in the classroom, Miffleton transitioned to LaVergne Lake Elementary as an Instructional Coach; a position she held for eight years. Mrs.Miffleton spent her first four years in administration as assistant principal split between both Campus and McFadden Schools and the past year as assistant principal at Eagleville School.

Mrs. Miffleton is a native of Murfreesboro and attended Murfreesboro City Schools from Kindergarten through sixth grade at Bradley Model School and Mitchell Nelson Primary and Elementary. She is a 1992 graduate of Oakland High School and received her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Learning from Martin Methodist College where she earned a four year scholarship to play basketball and tennis. Miffleton earned both her Master's and Education Specialist Degrees from Middle Tennessee State University in Administration and Supervision.

Mrs.Miffleton has been married for fourteen years to Matt Miffleton, who is a team manager in SFPP at State Farm. They have two daughters Madeline Mae and Maci Scott. Outside of school, Mrs. Miffleton enjoys family bike rides, time at Bryant Beach, Hot Barre, and watching any sporting event on television or in person. The Miffletons are active members at North Boulevard where they teach Sunday School in Faith Boulevard.

Mrs Miffleton is beyond excited to join the Northfield family and is looking forward to building strong relationships with students, families, and the community in which she lives.
